Collagen Induction Micro-needling with PRP

Collagen Induction Therapy Micro-needling with PRP:

Micro-needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is one of our favorite innovations in aesthetic medicine. The Eclipse micro-needling device has fine needles that make hundreds of invisible channels in the skin. This stimulates a healing response and collagen production. Although this sounds intimidating, it is a very tolerable treatment with minimal downtime. Micro-needling can be performed in conjunction with customized serums or PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to best achieve your desired results. A series of 3 treatments is recommended, with treatments 4-8 weeks apart.

Benefits include improvement in:

  • Fine lines
  • Acne scars
  • Large pores
  • Textural changes
  • Sun damage
  • Overall appearance

What to expect:

Topical numbing cream is applied. Once that takes effect, your skin will be cleaned and a combination of hyaluronic acid and Eminence Organic Skin Care Serums applied during the micro-needling treatment. Aftercare products will be provided. Immediately after the treatment your skin will be red, and feel like you have a mild sunburn. Sun should be avoided for the next several days. Within 24-48 hours the redness subsides. In the next 2 weeks you will notice a glow and fresher looking skin. The collagen production continues for the next 8-12 weeks. Appointment time is 1 hour.

If PRP is being used, your appointment will start with a simple blood draw. While you are numbing, the PRP will be processed to be used for your micro-needling treatment. We always recommend making sure you are well hydrated before any blood draw.
